this is one of my favorite moments in the whole movie #where thor STOPS TRYING TO GET OUT and just looks at loki #you will never convince me that thor did not finally understand in that terrible moment what it means to let go #HE LETS GO#it’s not the same as loki’s fall (because both falls were loki’s choice and loki’s responsibility) #but when thor shows up in this movie it’s clear he fundamentally DOES NOT UNDERSTAND how far gone loki is #it’s not until this moment when he looks up from the edge of the abyss #and realizes that the man looking down at him is not his brother and never was #that he internalizes the magnitude of the lie; the finality of the breach; the eternity of the fall #for one brief moment thor lets go#BUT #what makes them different is once he’s on the ground he flexes his hand and he remembers #AND HE DECIDES #HE DECIDES TO LOVE LOKI ANYWAY #HE DECIDES TO WRITE A NEW STORY AND HE DOESN’T CARE IF HE HAS TO WRITE IT IN BLOOD AND ASH #thor doesn’t keep trying with loki because he’s ~nice but a little bit dumb~ #he knows perfectly well that they’ll always be dancing along the edge of the abyss #he knows that one of them will always fall (will be pushed; will let go) #HE JUST DOESN’T CARE #uggggggh #my life is being ruined by mythical norse assholes
I still believe in heroes.

The room came to be known as Starks Secret Stash of Steve.
Steve was the only one who didn’t know about it.
