so brighid shepard grew up on earth. which mean that she didn’t have access to education. which makes me think that she didn’t learn how to read, or write until she was about 6/7 when the red’s finally picked her up. she was taught by a fellow gang member who had a strange obsession with speeches by churchill, roosevelt, and other great orators, and would quote them constantly....

Writers tend to want their characters to want want they themselves want. If the writer wants kids, most likely their Shep wants kids. Since you don’t (and that’s totally cool) maybe you should write one where they don’t. I’m sure it would be great!
